There is a city story out there about a man who could go into any Gambling house in any town, walk directly up to a slot machine, whisper some thing into its slot, tug on its arm and out would pour a jackpot.
He was known as the Slot machine game Whisperer.
Well, I have never ever met anyone like that. But in almost just about every Casino I’ve been I’ve heard people speak of this story.
I’ve seen individuals talk to slot machines. I have witnessed individuals yell at slot machines. I have witnessed men and women smack slot machines. But I’ve certainly not witnessed them win the jackpot following doing such a thing.
The very first time I heard about the Slot machine Whisperer I was in a Reno Casino. I was playing chemin de fer when I heard a thrill go via the Gambling establishment. The gambler next to me, his name was Sam, told me that the buzz was because a person had seen the Slot machine game Whisperer enter the Casino. He then went on to tell me the tale of the Whisperer and how he had conquered slot machines.
Shortly following that there had been security guards running all over the place. And they were all bee lined to the slot machine pit.
He advised me this was extremely uncommon as the Slot machine Whisperer was a quite gentle man. And that he only took the jackpot from one slot machine game. He by no means tried to take a Betting house for every single slot machine jackpot. He also advised me that the Whisperer also gave half of his slot machine game jackpots to an orphanage. He wasn’t a money grubbing man.
A few minutes later we saw security dragging a man out of the machine pit. The word was that he was not the Slot machine game Whisperer but some thief who was attempting to use an electronic gadget to cheat the slot machines.
I’ve certainly not run into the Slot machine Whisperer. I do not know if he even exists. I believe of him as an urban story or a myth several slot machine game gambler dreamed up.
Except the thought of a person who can master slot machines just by whispering to them is kind of romantic. Like a current day Gambling establishment Robin Hood.
